Meet our leaders

Dennis is a Registered Dispensing Optician, and holds dual state licenses in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island since 1987. He began his optical career manufacturing eyewear in a lab setting, then switched to working in the retail side of optics. He applied his understanding of making eyewear to guide his customers to the best style for their needs and prescriptions. In 2022 he founded AAOSafety, and has discovered a new passion helping companies provide quality safety eyewear to their employees.

Melanie has been working in the optical field since 1998. She obtained her national certification from the American Academy of Opticianry in 2000, and her Massachusetts license to practice in 2001. After spending the majority of her career in private practice, she sold her two co-owned retail locations in 2022. Then she joined AAOSafety with the goal of expanding the business to make custom-fitted safety eyewear accessible to the company’s New England territory.
